Action > LiveL

Live load evaluation (i.e., traffic loading).

Influence line evaluation for one traffic lane and one specified load train. The results are stored in a superposition file (*.sup) for further use.

Two types of results can be computed:

  1. For each element start and element end the extreme values and their respective co-existing values will be generated.
  2. The extreme values for one particular point in the structure can be computed. The coexisting values for all other points in the structure will be generated.
SettingDescription
Action Code of the selected Action. It is possible to switch to another action without leaving and re-entering the input function.
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.
Input-1 > Lane number The lane number for which the live load case will be calculated.
Input-2 > Train number The number of the live load configuration to be used.
Input-3 > (Element:NPoint), (RmSet) Definition of a specific point within the structure for which the extreme results will be computed. The results for all other points of the structure will be co-existent values. Input is optional. Extreme values will be calculated for all points if no point is specified. Definition of a specific RmSet, if the results shall only be calculated for certain series of elements  and tspecific result components. The input will be used in case of AASHTO  standard. Special type of RmSet - Live load (LIVE) must be defined for this Action. The RmSet should have the following input format:
Elem-from   Elem-to   maxQzminQy...  ALL

where ALL means all the subdivision points of the element.

Output 1 > Superposition file name Name of the superposition file where the results shall be stored.  This file must be initialized beforehand (SupInit ).
Output 2 > List file The name for the list file. If the default '*' is accepted, the name of the file will be automatically generated. eg. "live0001" + ".lst" = live0001.lst
